Vikings got lucky yesterday. They had the game pretty much in hand until the 4th quarter, then once again let the opponent back into the game. This team can't seem to put together a full 4 quarters of football and jiust implode in the second half or in the forth quarted when they have a lead, granted they still won, but they were darn lucky.
Pass defense is suspect, and teams are starting to figure out how to run against them, don't go up the middle, but hit the ends or a quick screen to Jared Allen's side of the line.

I am a Jets fan and I hate the Giants, but I did pick the Giants to go to the Super Bowl this year.
"Fraud" may be a little stong but through six weeks only 13 teams (out of 32) have given up more points than the G Men. And when you consider their schedule so far (four bad teams, KC, Oakland, Wash, TB) and the fact that the two good teams they played (Cowboys and Saints) lit them up for 79 points, you gotta question their D.
I'll take the Jets D over the Giants D any day.

Uh. nope.
THe offense needed to come out of the locker room and play.
Make sure everyone still has their head in the game... and that things are still going your way. THEN pull the key guys when it's determined the other team still thinks it's a high school game.

Well I am sitting at home right now recovering from the flu. Much better now, but I still am bored out of my ass. So I got to thinking about what the most successful teams in NFL history were. I decided to come up with a system of points to determine who was the most successful.
To make things fair, I decided only to inlclude the Super Bowl era. I did this because most NFC teams are much much older than the AFC teams (Some by 30 years). If I included prior to the Super Bowl years it would been very uneven and biased toward the NFC. So to get a better picture, I limited it to the Super Bowl era (1966 season to present).
Here is how I awarded points:
Super Bowl Win - 10 pts each
Super Bowl Loss - 5 pts each
NFC/AFC Championship Game Appearance - 4 pts each
Division Title - 3 pts each
Playoff Appearance - 2 pts each
Every 10 Wins (since 1966) - 1 pt each
Here are the results:
1. Dallas Cowboys – 292
2. Pittsburgh Steelers – 260
3. San Francisco 49ers – 227
4. Oakland Raiders – 215 (includes LA Raiders)
5. Minnesota Vikings – 205
6. Miami Dolphins – 184
7. Denver Broncos – 174
8. St. Louis Rams – 172 (includes LA Rams)
9. New England Patriots – 167
10. Indianapolis Colts – 155 (includes Baltimore Colts)
11. Green Bay Packers – 153
12. Washington Redskins – 150

Nope that is correct. What dropped them is the fact that they made it only to 5 Super Bowls. Both the Steelers and the Cowboys have been to more Super Bowls.
Actually you are correct. For some reason I counted their 4 Super Bowl losses and wins. They received 40 points for winning Championships instead of receiving only 20 points for appearing in 4 Super Bowls. But that still leaves them in the place that they are in. Like i said though, I am including all factors of regular season, and playoff games.
