Hello all,

I just wanted to pop on and give an update on my Tuskegee P-51 project. For those who are not familiar with it, I am building a full-scale/flying P-51B Mustang from the ground up in honor of a local MIA Tuskegee Airman. Flight Officer Leland H. Pennington was flying his P-51B "Lucy Gal" home after a successful escort mission on April 21st, 1945. He was lost somewhere over Croatia and never found. The 1941 Historical Aircraft Group in Geneseo, NY wants to keep his legacy alive and continue to tell the legendary story of the Tuskegee Airman by flying a P-51 in Pennington's memory.

With this all being said, our project was recently accepted by the Pepsi "Refresh Everything" project that gives grants to popular non-profit projects. The P-51B "Lucy Gal" project is now open for Voting! We need to be ranked in the top 15 to have a shot at getting a $10,000 grant to begin the Mustang's construction. Please Vote today and each day following as you can vote every 24 hours. Also, please pass this along to your friends and family so that they may vote daily as well. Thank you all very much for helping our cause out.
