Has a real 'Skyhawk' look about the cockpit/ nose section - no doubt the Skyray influenced the later design in part.

All Revell kits apart from the Me 262. The big Heinkel was a very nice kit.

Here is the old Airfix IL-28 in 1/72 scale. I like the North Korean scheme. Not bad for its age ,but, a lot of putty. I've got the Tamiya version which I want to make two-seat trainer. I'm anxious to see how the two compare.

Always liked the Il-28, for no apparent reason! Nice one.

Well I'm back, sort of. As some of you know, I broke my right hand working on the dock. While the two broken bones healed nicely, osteoarthritisis set in. The hand is about 90% but some fine motorcontrol is gone.
In any case I thought I'd try a simple build and I always like the "Red Baron" Triplane. After a bit of looking I finally located a 1/48. Once started I thought I was working on a 1/72 not 1/48. I cannot believe how small the Fokker Dr.I is/was. I also thought the "Blue Max would be a nice touch along with a comparison between the little Fokker and the 190 and 109

Fubar, have not gotten to that as of yet. Was not sure what to use then I came across a product called EZ Line .003in. Not supposed to sag, react to humidity, get fuzzy, and it is elastic to 700% attaches wih superglue. my next project

Nice one Mike, and I like the Blue Max. I've been looking for reasonably priced Knights Cross replica - but I ain't paying today's prices, when, a few years ago, you could get one for about £1 !!!

Terry, I am looking at a real 1939 German Luger and the cross will be part of that set up. Anything authentic from that period is EXPENSIVE. The small take-down tool for the Luger goes for $200US. If you want a Knights Cross email me and we'll set something up. The plain cross is $21.50US, the oak leaf + swords was $39.00US don't know about postage

Thanks Mike - that's around the same that replicas are here now, about £12 to £15. As mentioned, only three or four years ago, you could buy a plain Iron Cross replica for anywhere between 50p and £1, in any of those arty crafty shops which sell everything from joss sticks to Chinese jingly things. It's the sort of thing bikers or wannabe 'Hippies' would wear on a chain around their necks. Now, they can't be found, except at those places supplying replica outfits for re-enactors - hence the huge rise in price.
I only considered one as 'dressing' on the base of a model display, so might make one out of Milliput and card, then cast it, maybe in resin or plaster, get a bit of ribbon from a haberdashery, and job's a good'un !!

Terry, the quality is excellent and the casting is nicely detailed. I think it will go well with the P-08 German Luger. I'm looking for a nice Waffen SS Sam Browne but PRICES
