At the request of my son, here's a group shot of my 1/48 scale RAAF collection.

I don't usually do 1/72 scale, but here's one I was cajoled into building.

It's Airfix's new Fw 190 A-8 in OOB markings as one of 3./JGr.10s unusually marked aircraft.

I think it's the only scale for which I spray the camo with a magnifier on my head

Cheers

Back to a larger scale!

Spitfire Mk 1, N3290, GR-U of 92 Squadron. The aircraft was lost in France, F/O John Gillies PoW, on 23rd May 1940 when it was barely four months old.

It's from the Revell Mk II kit with a few extras, exhausts (better shape), fabric covered ailerons, propeller blades (correct shape), oil cooler (correct shape) and radiator (fits into wing) as well as modifications to the lumps and bumps on the kit's engine cowling, antenna mast and the spinner.

It's a good kit and an easy conversion to an early or BoB era Mark 1

Cheers

Steve
