Hey Old Geezer. This old geezer built that model back in the '80's. I have a special place in my heart for the SBD. N October 1945, My Dad, who was a Navy Captain, took me flying in some of the planes there. SNJ, Kingfisher, PBY and a SBD. I was very lucky to fly one in the CAF back in the early '80's. So I have built a number of them over the years 1/32 and 1/48 scale. The one like your has been the shelf a long time and is pretty beat up. Here's a pic. But 50 years ago I made this 1/48 Monogram SBD and put it in prewar USMC colors, and my then-girlfriend's father took the photo. She's now my wife, the model is long gone, but the photo still reminds me of my youth and naivety.View attachment 666492
