What part did you not understand? There are 33 billion chickens because we eat them. There are less than 6,000 wild Tigers because we dont, and we dont really like Tigers coming into our living space. We keep them in cages and feed other animals to them, so people can look at a tiger in a cage for amusement.

UK cows have a fantastic sense of humour, they kill around 8 humans per year and then moo "I only eat grass" which amuses the herd immensely. Not a patch on Hippos though.

My wife isn't a big meat-eater. When we are out and she asks about a vegetarian option, she's often offered a chicken entree.
She goes through several pounds of bacon a week though.
