An elderly woman lived alone in Oklahoma. She did not understand the difference between a Tornado Watch and a Tornado Warning. So every time there was Tornado Watch she would light a kerosene lantern and trudge down the stairs to her basement until it was over.

Eventually she got so tired of this frightening but pointless activity that she would call the local WX Bureau and complain bitterly about having to sit in fear in near darkness for hours for no reason.

Then one day there was a Tornado Watch and she went down into the basement again. Then the WX bureau issued a Tornado Warning and a twister smashed her home. Afterwards, she climbed up out of the basement, pushed some boards out of the way, went to a neighbor's house and used their phone to call the WX Bureau and say, "Now, dammit, that's more like it!"
