A woman wakes up during the night and notices that her husband is not in bed. She puts on her bathrobe and goes down to see where he is. She finds him in the kitchen, sitting in front of a cup of coffee. He seems upset and stares at the wall. She sees him wiping a tear as he swallows a sip of coffee.
– What's wrong darling?
The husband looks up from his coffee, he solemnly asks her:
– Do you remember 20 years ago, when we had set a meeting, you were only 16 at the time?
– Yes, I remember, she replies.
The husband pauses, the words come to him with difficulty.
– Do you remember your dad caught us having sex in the back of the car?
– Yes, I remember it, said the woman as she sat by her side.
The husband continues.
– Do you remember, when he held his gun to my head and said: either you marry my daughter, or I send you to jail for 20 years.
– I remember it too, she replies softly.
He wipes another tear and says:
– I would have been released today!!!
