Hospital regulations require a wheel chair for patient discharge.
A student nurse, seeing an elderly man dressed, sitting on the bed with a suitcase at his feet insisted he did not need her help to leave the hospital.
After she discussed the rules, and there no exceptions, he reluctantly allowed her to wheel him to the elevator.
On the way down, she asked if his wife was meeting him.
"I don't know, she is still upstairs in the bathroom changing out of her hospital gown."
