There is a time for good bye.

A joke with cookie monster and a religious cookie was found offensive and deleted.

it was found offensive by a guy that has 322 post here.

I am done now. But as it always open in my peevs so read below.

I regret very much losing wurger as the "knowledge" I do.

So:

Ok. There was 1 responder with no more then 322 posts

No active in any way i have seen in the last 2 years.

Eagledad. And then the reason left behind by you guys. I quote

was found extremely offensive and insulting to the reporter's religion.

I have a religion as well. My feeling and i dare say rights, are treden on by a Religious zealot from deep kentucky. That is not active very much and get all wound up on a joke.

Fancy that.

I did not go beyond the rules of this board.

But as it is.

Please delete any and every post I ever made. And any content I posted in the 20 years I have been here.

And no. Not leaving the content and delete the poster name as has been done before.

I am willing to take legal action about that.

I am a bit peep off now.

I am extremely offensived by this action.

Seems a trend on this board. Losing people that do make a difference.

And dear Wurger. I hope you do know i held you in the deepest respect.

Your knowledge is something.

But there must be a line in the sands

Regards

I'm sorry to hear this. Honestly am. But I think you are going a bit overboard here. There are better ways to go about this than having a tantrum and quitting a forum you have been a huge part of. Just my opinion.

Look, I personally did not find the post offensive. I honestly did not find it funny at all either.

But religion is like politics, a topic better left untouched. It only causes a huge mess, and opens a huge can of worms.

I'll make just this final comment as well (although I probably shouldn't), but I find religious people often are the most hypocritical when it comes to things like this (My opinion, based on my experiences). They are quick to talk bad about people, beliefs, religions, and ideas they do not agree with (in the name of their religion and "freedom of speech"), but are the first to be offended when something is said about what they like, believe, or agree with. And for that reason its another reason that everyone should choose to leave religion out of this forum (although it is not against the forum rules to do so).

So Snautzer01 Snautzer01 , how about we just be a lil less dramatic over this, and not go overboard. The mods are already out in a tight spot trying to keep the peace as it is.

Lets chalk it up to a misunderstanding, drink a beer and forget about this. Its too stupid a topic to lose friends over.

I have the perfect solution....

I began to sense faintly that secrecy is the keystone of all tyranny. Not force, but secrecy ... censorship. When any government, or any church for that matter, undertakes to say to its subjects, "This you may not read, this you must not see, this you are forbidden to know," the end result is tyranny and oppression, no matter how holy the motives. Mighty little force is needed to control a man whose mind has been hoodwinked; contrariwise, no amount of force can control a free man, a man whose mind is free. No, not the rack, not fission bombs, not anything -- you can't conquer a free man; the most you can do is kill him.

Robert A. Heinlein, science fiction author.

To quote wiki Robert Anson Heinlein (HYNE-lyne; July 7, 1907 – May 8, 1988) was an American science fiction author, aeronautical engineer, and naval officer. Sometimes called the "dean of science fiction writers", he was among the first to emphasize scientific accuracy in his fiction, and was thus a pioneer of the subgenre of hard science fiction. His published works, both fiction and non-fiction, express admiration for competence and emphasize the value of critical thinking. His plots often posed provocative situations which challenged conventional social mores. His work continues to have an influence on the science-fiction genre, and on modern culture more generally.

Heinlein became one of the first American science-fiction writers to break into mainstream magazines such as The Saturday Evening Post in the late 1940s. He was one of the best-selling science-fiction novelists for many decades, and he, Isaac Asimov, and Arthur C. Clarke are often considered the "Big Three" of English-language science fiction authors.

"…in the past, activism was coupled with optimism, while today activism requires pessimism. Because today every impulse for action is generated by the knowledge that there is no form of progress on which we can trustingly rely…Our actions can now only arise from our pessimism; we are still only able to seize the opportunities in life from a standpoint of scepticism, while the old optimism would just lull us into complacency and induce fatalism, albeit a rosy fatalism. Give me a sober activism anytime, rather than that rose-tinted fatalism! ". - Victor Frankl

Give me more escapism and less political BS!

How about you remember wich members left because of you ??

Dear god. Not just members but writers.

I think, you, of all people should butt out of giving advice on matters of behavior or being dramatic.

This is what i said to a pm i got from a mod.

Well must say i cooled off a bit.

Cant stand those twats that start waving their whatever believes in my face. I would have removed the meme if he asked me in a pm. I would have shaken my head in disbelieve. But i would have deleted.

But going straigh to admin. I must say i felt betrayed by that on its own.

But what infuriated me is that this kind of back stabbing rude behavior was effective.
In that it was removed.

Because a twat felt he was wronged.

This was the meme.
I cannot see any harm in it.

I really cant stand being told to adjust because some dickhead in Kentucky feels like a Jeanne d'Arc and feels offended. Does nothing for the board but surely can find the report button. And gets rewarded.

Next thing is that a guy finds that the swastikas on the models, so proudly presented in o so many threads here offended him. And his believes.
The fact that it is historical won't work in the argument anymore. Because.. he is offended.
Though he would have a better point then a meme with poor ole Cookie who is not liking a cookie.

Regards

Wow…

You are right, I have nothing further to say to you. You know where the door is. Bye.

As I said in the PM, I have no need or desire to fight and argue with you. I was just saying you should not overreact and make decisions based on emotions. I used to do that a lot, and I try not to now (with varying degrees of success).

I hate people finding themselves too important, that's one of my "peeves".
You were talking about a line in the sand, threatening with legal actions is just that.

I suggest you remove yourself from the forum for a while and cool down or we will do it for you.
