thats heavy wet snow if your going to get lots I'd guess there will a few power outages as the snow drops the lines

Yeah, I figger Texas isn't quite as ready for heavy snowfall as you are, but its coming down now in very small, fine pieces. Kinda like a snowy fog almost.

Great shots RA, looks your having a great time with that camera. I have that Sigma lens, you will really like it for those faraway shots that you miss.

You like the lens? I haven't gotten it yet...these were taken with my wife's little point-n-shoot Canon digital. Great camera, but most of the zooming involved hoofing it across the street in the driving snow to grab the pic! That's "old-school" zooming!

I really like the shot of the fence with then snow, and the tree on the left side. I really like the lens. I used it for my moon shots and some birds . I haven't used it a whole lot yet., but I like it so far. 8)

That section of gate is part of the fence between me and my neighbor's house, he's got a butt-load of honeysuckle growing on his side (unfortunately....I'd dearly love to get rid of the crap!)....it climbs up several small trees, gets itself wrapped around the power lines, and plays host to some vindictive poison oak. But it does look good when coated with snow!
One of these days, I'll get that lens! Has the weight ever really been much of an issue for you, Ontos?

The weight hasn't been a problem, if you use a tripod get a good sturdy one, the cheap ones wobble. I hold the lens toward the end of the barrel, ( a lesson from Eric), it works great. It comes with the tripod mount. Good shooting mate. 8)

I like that sign: "Rufe Snow" and if that storm keeps up, you're gonna have "Floor Snow" when the Rufe gives out!
