Is that the 1967 to 1973 (ish) rounded shape MkI Ford Escort? It was the car which dominated the world Rally Championships at the time, with Roger Clark doing a lot of the winning. Also raced in a beautiful red and gold scheme with Alan Mann Racing.
There was a Tamiya or Hasegawa kit of the MkII I had a few years back, but haven't seen a MkI.

I had to look it up to see what you guys were talking about! Sure doesn't look like the Escort I know!

Looking good Lucky13 iam thinking of building a car befor long a friend of mine races on dirt and would like me to build one like his.

A bit late, but I found the pic of my old Mk1 Escort, with the big wheel arches on it. The roll cage wasn't in place when this photo was taken, as the interior was stripped ready for some welding and new seats and harnesses etc.(BTW, the body was coach painted, with a brush, then given a brushed coat of hard, gloss varnish).
And now, back to Jan's car thread .....

Thanks mate! Wish I still had it. Coincidentally, just an hour ago, I saw a MkII Escort rally car driving through town - what a great sound!
