Jan, the second word is 'Off' !
Jim, haven't received the kit yet, but I'll let you know. And yes, I got two display cases, and have changed around some furniture in the spare room to incorporate a glass-doored cabinet and shelving units below, and some other shelves on the walls. The larger glass cabinet will be used for 1/32nd scale models, and the smaller glass cabinet and the cabinet/shelving for 1/48th scale, in 'themed' collections. Planning on getting another of the larger cabinets later this year maybe.

Good stuff guys.

This finally came in today.

and grabbed this also.

Thats a nice kit Woody esp. for the price here stateside they go for about $15.I built the G-10 in that line in an Italian markings for a group build and it was much better than the Fujumi I built along side it at 2x the cost.I figure just looking at the moulds and all for the 51 we are in for the same results.I think when I get around to that one it will be NM w/checkers.

Just won another one on 'the bay'. Got this for under a tenner - I was going to buy the Italeri (ex ESCI) kit anyway, so getting this and the support group, for less than the normal F-5 kit price is a bonus!

Thanks Aaron, I'll probably take you up on that when the time comes.
I haven't yet decided whether it'll be a UK- based 'Aggressor' (Alconbury) or maybe a Swiss or Norwegian or other European user. I've got some basic details, and a couple of dull shots taken in a downpour at Alconbury years ago, but not much else. At one time, I fancied doing one as a RAF 'What if?', in grey camouflage, but I'll most likely do a 'real' one.

Jim, I received the F-104G kit today. It's an original 1981 issue, so typical of Hasegawa at that time - nicely moulded, with some good detail parts, some of which are a bit 'dated' by today's standards, but can easily be 'enhanced', and it should build into a nice display model.
The engine and radar dish are provided, as is the 'Vulcan' gun, and can be displayed with open panels for the latter two, and the engine displayed separately if required. Cockpit is reasonably detailed, although the seat pan of the ejection seat is moulded as part of the floor.
Decals in this issue are for a West German F-104G of the Marine Flieger, or a F-104J of the JASDF, with a small sheet for Royal Danish Air Force, but the sheet was stuck to the back of the glossy painting instructions! Possibly useable, after carefully peeling away, but I'll probably do a Royal Netherlands Air Force version.
It might be narrow, but in 1/32nd scale, it's very long, and should be impressive when built!
I've just checked the current UK retail price for the latest release (the same basic kit with different decals), and it's £49 - so getting this at £17 is a big bonus!
