My trip to P.G. was bountiful. TAMIYA PAINTS; Flat Aluminum(2), Titanium, and Chrome Silver, IJN Grey Green (Hopefully Wayne will inform me as to the proper aircraft this was used in at the appropriate time), Nato Black, no more Flat Black for me, and German Grey. Is this okay for RLM66? CITADEL PAINTS; Ironbreaker and Runefang Steel, basically different shades of silver. Another wash, Agrax Earthshade. I love these washes, this is my fifth different shade. A Citadel drybrush, and yes, I still use tube glue for small parts that need to be coaxed and prodded into position.

I know how you feel Bill, 4 hour of driving for me with a very limited supply of models but I can buy paint and some supplies. Thanks for the advice Wayne. Andy, as you know, Tamiya is not really brush friendly but I use the paint a lot and use a wide soft brush to minimize streaks when painting the fuselage and wings. I'll be using them on my current GB with the Citadel paints to try get a varied finish for the first time. I'll paint the inside of a wing with the different shades and post it in my GB today.

I think you took something "out of context".

Tamiya will brush fine, just have to use Tamiya thinner along with it to get the gluggy-ness out of painting Straight From the Bottle (which should Never be done)! Not even house paint should be used straight from the can!!!!

It's painting Taiya acrylics OVER Tamiya rattle can spray paint that creates the biggest headache, but can work okay if done right. But takes much experimenting.
