Heck! Pity they weren't around a while back - I spent ages making the art work for all the stencils for my 1/32nd scale Typhoon conversion!

This stuff came today. A sheet of prop decals, decals for Jan Zumbach's Mk.Vb and a Velom XP-75. I can't wait to start putting together the P-75, the surface detail looks fantastic for 1/72, but I'll be waiting for the Prototype GB.

T-Bolt,

The Fisher Eagle is my plane son! Glad someone shares the love of the plane that is the "Go To Jail" space on Airplane Monopoly! By the way, the canopy included with that version of the Eagle is wrong, or at least the back is. The kit supplied canopy should not be open in the back and is only correct is side profile, but NOT in top profile. Check photos and you will see what I mean. Spoke to Valom about issuing a corrected canopy like they did on one of their other kits but they declined. Also there is some question about how accurate the belly radiator set-up is, so again check drawings.

PS They are issuing a third version in the near future. A middle version between the prototype that you have and the final production (yes I said production) version that they also sell. LOVE THIS PLANE.

Jim

Gotta love a plane that's made up from parts of other planes (P-40, Dauntless) I saw that open rear to the canopy and though my interpretation of the old pictures was wrong, thanks for straightening me out Jim. Don't know what mod I can do to make it right. Something to ponder. Have you ever seen the production version at the Air Force Museum? Is it COOL! It's at the research development annex all polished up and sitting right in front of the hanger door with tons of natural light pouring onto it. I've got a boat load of great pictures of it if you need some reference.

Yes I have my friend, but long before it was brought up to it's current immaculate state! (By the way on the USAF Museum site they have a fish-eye lens picture of the cockpit that is pretty useful.) Even when it was all greyed aluminum back then I fell in love with it! Thanks for the offer of the pictures brother, I will let you know. I have some copies of pictures from the son of one of the production engineers that are really mind blowning, showing the production line, tools and jigs. Let me know if that interests you as well.

I remember have the Airfix 1/72 Mossie and thinking holy cow look at all these parts! You must have been able to build almost every version with that kit. Definitely a step above their contemporary offerings.

Just received this one today...

A wee question while we're here, this looks a bit odd, should these (underneath the panel) more parallel with the sidewalls?
