I think that's the V2, which subsequently was handed over to the US and then sunk at Trondheim. It always seemed to look a real mess (even before they blew it up), and I'm not sure my (non-existent!) weathering skills are up to the challenge.
I have a couple of water-level photos of the C-012 once it received its smart new RAF livery at Calshot, which seems more within my skills, but I'd quite like to check what the wing surfaces looked like.

Thanks to info from Andy, I grabbed these punch sets, and I've just 'won' the Hasegawa 1/48th scale Hurricane MkIIc - and I'm gobsmacked that I got it for £10.50 !!!

That one's going to be my next WWII aircraft build - can't remember how much it cost me, but significantly more than you scored!
I'm planning to reconstruct a particular 135 Sq. RAF aircraft that flew out of Minneriya in 1944, when my late father was stationed there. No photos to work from, but a lot of background information.

I don't think I have anything much on 135 Sqn Hurricanes, but I have some info on 136 Sqn (The 'Woodpeckers'), both Hurricanes and Spitfires, collected when I did the three builds for the relations of Bob Cross, DFM, the highest-scoring RAF pilot in SEAC. But by 1944, they'd already converted to the Spit VIII, via the Spit V, so colour and marking details probably won't help much.
It seems that most available coverage of 135 Sqn centers around their Thunderbolts, but you could try the IWM and RAF Museum photo libraries, they try to help as far as possible with genuine researchers. We managed to get not only some photos, but film footage transferred to DVD.
 
As promised when I purchased it, a review of the Revell 1/48 Stearman P-17. My first thought, it's white plastic. I've read somewhere before as to the reason all models aren't made out of white plastic and I forget the reason, but why aren't all models made out of white plastic? This model is going to be all yellow so this should ease on the painting I would think. My second thought was, "Good Gawd, I've bought a freakin' bi-plane and I was sober when I purchased it."

The parts, as far as I can see, are crisp with no flash. Part #17 is a fire extinguisher which, at a quick glance, is not mentioned in the instructions. It might be mislabeled as Part #83, on the instructions it looks like one.

The instructions also give the lengths of all the freakin' rigging that I will be doing for the first time. Research will be needed as well as there are a few extra parts and I will be doing this as an RCAF version.
