Great haul there Evan, and nice to see the Victa Airtrainer - I had my first lessons in one of those, and the aircraft still survives, AFAIK. Last seen at Badminton, back in 1990.

Cheers Terry, and she's a great little aircraft alright!
As you might know, she started life as the Milicer Airtourer, later produced as the Victa Airtourer (both in Australia). The manufacturing rights were then bought by AESL in NZ, producing her as the Airtourer T6/24. She was later modified (in line with the Victa Aircruiser design) to become the CT-4 Airtrainer, manufacturer now being NZAI. That name changed too after a Swiss customer turned out to be a cover for the SAAF (oops...), so they are now manufacturing as PAC, the latest version being the CT-4E.

Cheers Geo, and to be honest I don't know (I use enamels myself).
A mate bought one of the Spitfires last year, and brush painted with supplied paints. Looked a little on the thick side to me, but he was learning then, maybe they are fine when thinned?

Might do a small test paint on a scrap kit to see...

They're pretty ropey, even when thinned, for brush painting. Designed as a sales 'attraction' for kids, in order to provide the complete package. The brushes aren't bad though.

You will like the Mustang kit, I used them to built my little dio of Merlin's Magic and John Crockers race plane. Be careful with the control stick, I had to make one from scratch using the grip. It is to scale and soooo tiny.

My A-10 was painted with those little pots of Airfix acrylic paint

Worked ok for me with a brush

Just received this kit today, brand new, 'won' from an e-bay shop for only £4.20 !! Didn't expect to win the auction.
Also won this brand new compressor and airbrush kit for a good price too, again a bid I'd forgotten about, and didn't think I'd win.

The Shenyang J-5 (MiG 17F) will probably be done as a Polish Lim-5.
The airbrush will compliment my existing pair, as it has a 0.3mm nozzle, hopefully a bit better for wider coverage when spraying larger areas.
