Cheers Geo, and to be honest I don't know (I use enamels myself).
A mate bought one of the Spitfires last year, and brush painted with supplied paints. Looked a little on the thick side to me, but he was learning then, maybe they are fine when thinned?
Might do a small test paint on a scrap kit to see...
