Rescue pilot- Tadeusz Augustyniak has passed....

A close friend of mine, Tadeusz Augustyniak (81), passed away last Thursday (06 January) morning here in Cracow.

He was a member Tatra Mountain Voluntary Rescue Service and one of the best polish rescue pilot. In 1963 Tadeusz Augustyniak piloting an SM-1 helicopter made the first successful flight to the Valley of Five Polish Tarns. The first on-duty regular helicopter rescue service in Zakopane was launched in 1975...
