It started kinda good, then got bad, then got better. I arrived as the skies were clearing from overnight rain. I hooked up with a gaggle of aviation photographers that I have been hanging out with lately and we got breakfast. We went up on the hill for the best vantage point for photos and viewing before the rain hit, drenching us before we could find refuge. In the shots below, you can see the crowd from the hill before the rains, then the rains and everyone taking shelter wherever they could. Riverside PD gave a demonstration in the rain to demonstrate their all weather capability. Finally, blue skies appeared above the C-53. The weather warmed up and steam enveloped everything in a surreal scene for about 15-30 minutes.
