Each section of wire was carefully measured & cut to slightly oversized length. I figured I could always cut the wire shorter but cannot possibly " grow" or stretch the wire longer.

The wires came carefully wound up in a large circle.

When satisfied with the lengths, I straightened them out by simply running them through my thumb & fingers & bending the wire opposite to the original bend until I was happy with the results. Sometimes I had to " over bend" such that when the tension was relaxed, the wire resumed a more straighten look, if this makes any sense.

I then cut a short length of brass tubing & slipped the wire inside using Gorilla epoxy. By using this epoxy instead of soldering, I had a few minutes to work out the final adjustments of lengths.

The ends were then epoxied into the predrilled holes of the fuselage & wings.

The rigging was completed within one day.

After the rigging, the battery box was installed. I held off on the box because I didn't want it to get in my way while rigging.

Rigging the tail required a slightly different approach. I'll be showing how I did it in the next series of steps.

I went to my local arts & crafts store & purchased what they called " Cord End Caps." They come in a variety of different styles & sizes. So I decided on buying a few packages for this Boeing model & future projects.

I picked out what I felt was the right size & style. The flat stainless steel wire was (again) carefully measured between the horizontal & vertical stab. Then each wire was straightened out flat.

The end was carefully slipped into the cap & using a needle nosed pliers, I crimped it shut. I added some epoxy just to be safe.

I used regular pins cut to short lengths through the open holes to fasten to the stab & latch.

This is the model as it stands today.

Next will be the installation of the push rods from the lower wing to the ailerons on the upper wings, followed by the engine & propeller.
