I read this in a magazine for retired military members. I wanted to share it with you because I think there is a lot of truth in it.
Here it is:
A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard, or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his/her life wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount "up to and including his/her life."
That is honor, and there are way to many people in this country who no longer undestand it.
