This is a pic of an F-86 and a P51D that I took at an air show at NAS Oceana a couple of years ago.

Makes for a strange looking aircraft....

Both great aircraft.....but the offsprring would be a bit of a B*stard. Something that just occurred to me as well....there was only about ten years difference between the development and use of the two aircraft. And in fact Mustangs fought alongside Sabres, in Korea did they not?
