Stripped down Mosquito MK IV 1/32

First of all, I scored the toys on the European Scale Modellers Netherlands

Andy gave me some more images for, among other things, the fuel lines in the bombbay and also those that were routed through the fuel cooler.
At least that was the intention, but I no longer had a flex hose and could not find it quickly on the large WWW, but I did come across a nice tip on YouTube, namely making flexible pipes with various thicknesses of solder wire. Okay, maybe not entirely suitable for fuel lines, but with a layer of paint it can be improved. But what was that tip? I believe I have also seen it on Modelbrouwers.nl, but I had to look for it.

Okay, I'll take a piece of 1mm solder wire and a long piece of 0.15mm solder wire.

I wrap the thin wire around the thicker one and make sure it is connected properly. Funny, I also use this technique when applying a serving to the string of my compound bow and flat bow

After wrapping it firmly, you will get a nice effect

And if we try to turn that into a fuel cooler with hoses for a Mossie, you get something like this

If we glue it into the bombbay, it will look like this

The racks for the bomb holders were also glued in, it would be tricky to paint everything, but otherwise I couldn't continue and first paint and then the rest is not for me, especially if you run the risk of demolishing everything again because it's not good after all.
I also made the first design for the tail with room for the hatch and cables, I still have to figure it out myself first

I think this is a later one, but the details are useful
I am looking for some details of the airtanks, routing of the electric cables on starboardsite from bh 3 till 5. Foto the parts after 5 i have refrencepics. After all the model will be in the basic a mk IV,but with some little details from later versions.
I also can't find really nice pics of the wingspar,with parts and cables mounted on it have to find out how the junctions are of the spars in the middle of the wings,so,not the part in side the fuselage but in the wings

Great looking fuel hoses Bert. I'll see what if anything I can pull together for you for the electrics between BH3 and 5. Here are pics of a partial installation of the throttle and propeller pitch torque tubes along the front spar. These were taken by Mel Johnstone during the restoration of B.35 VR796 before the radiators were added. The fuel lines run along the BACK face of the front spar and can be seen entering the engine compartment via the wheel wells.

So, I have already made some things, namely the base of the wings. This also contains fuel tanks and to get the hoses from the bombbay to the auxiliary tanks I had to make them first, so I started with the wing itself first.

And then you have to make the fuel tanks, which fortunately there is quite a lot of information about, but not so, so you just have to improvise a bit and do a lot of sanding.

In the photo you can also see part of the wing covering that I want to show and make the tanks visible, so I used a classic method. If it doesn't seem like anything as I continue, I can always adjust it

Anyway, we continued with that and then you get something like this, including a piece for the wheelbay.

If you turn it around you will see tanks

Keep it next to the hull for a moment

I left one space open because then I could show the straps with which the tanks were tied into the wings.

Then I realized that I also had the radiators lying around somewhere and would they fit?

Yeah, so no problem

But what if I add a little more?

Oh, that looks pretty cool and with 1 wing?

Yes, that will be quite nice. But there is still a lot of work to be done, with the model itself I am, well, at about 40%. And then the enlargements of the wheel, tail, and possibly the flap controls, I'll just have to see what I'm going to do

Amazing stuff Bert. Here's a little bit for electrics from the Canadian B.XX Manual. Basically same as a B.IV but with some American equipment.

You don't do much during the holidays and other hobbies sometimes also take time, so no big steps.

I have installed some fuel lines to the first wing tanks, now there are a few more, as well as the various hydraulic and electrical lines that I have to sort out for myself with what I make and what I can leave behind. I also continue to look for reference photos, because there is plenty to be found on the outside, but what is underneath the skin is often much more difficult to find.

And just to show you a problem that I am also worrying about how to solve (I simply saw the mistake too late).
This concerns the cockpit edge between the two radiators. Well, I can do that again

I made the flaps again, so I didn't actually take any photos during construction, because they look very similar to the earlier version that I already showed, except that the flaps now have the correct dimensions, but I had to do that first. draw again.

The existing wings were trimmed and a few ribs improved because 2 additional tanks had to be installed per wing, and a number of details were also going to be installed and improved, so there is still a lot of work to be done.
