Neat stuff, though the Canadian Chinook's are not realistic. None have ever been known to sustain 6 minutes of continuous flight without breaking down.

If I had the space (for the rotors) I wouldn't mind doing a 1/48th scale model in the Rescue colour scheme.
My mistake. We call them Labradors here and I perhaps unfairly lumped them in with our notorious Sea Kings. I'm not really up on those busses with those whirley thingys on the roof. The Labradors were due for replacement in the early 90s and successive governments failed to secure proper replacement contracts. Our last CH-113 was finally taken out of service in 2004, the fleet being replaced by Cormorants.
So, you had dogs painted yellow which maybe didn't work too well as they were getting on in years, and now you've replaced them by big sea birds !
Must admit though, the CH-113 was/is an old crate which, like the C-130, is as old as me, but still going strong (the 'Herc', not me !).
Yes, after I read up on it to clear up my error, I found out that, despite their age at the time, 8 of the retired "dogs" were sold to an operator out of Oregon in 2005.
