Was in Hawaii for 9 days, got back yesterday. Redundant Statement of the Year: Weather in western Canada is not as nice as Kauai. Just sayin'............
Huh ....... I tested positive this morning....... oh joy. Am wondering if HI is a covid hot-spot? Or maybe it's just being stuck in a sealed aluminium tube with a few hundred others for lotsa hours.....I arrived in Hilo Hi 30 hours and 20 minutes after walking into Bundaberg airport and found perfect winter weather. Three days and 6 hours later I got a sudden massive dose of jet lag which naturally was not jet lag but Covid. Six days of isolation later I just tested again and the test was a massive positive within 30 seconds.
Covid in 24C temperatures is infinitely more pleasant than covid in 40C/100F weather so I am going to say the weather here is perfect.
Hopefully I wll get to see my grandchildren before they go back to Seattle and school.

What exactly do you do? Grader operator?Looks like snow for most of my tour which means hot changing and working through breaks. On the plus side, or is that minus side, the temps will be below -3°C daytime which means the road crush stays on the surface so I won't be tied to one ramp.
Heavy Equipment Operator spending about 98% of my time on a Cat 24 or 16 grader. The rest on 10 other machinesWhat exactly do you do? Grader operator?
I like that photoIt was snowing on our way to the caribou observation station. Caribou were too far away for the phone camera. 0°C cooling down and by Saturday we'll have highs of -17°C
