I just got home from a 1600 mile road trip and saw quite a few BNSF trains going east and west along the I-40. Hard to get a shot while driving along at 75 MPH, but I did get these diesels at the Grand Canyon.

Very cool Jan, I have a book on the Surrey Lumber Company which was located on the opposite side of the Jame River from Jamestown in Surrey County Virginia. Very interesting read. Some of the old bogey tracks ran through the woods on our farm when I was growing up.

Love logging railroads, those Shays, Heislers, Climax engines...some big enough to have 2-8-8-2's on the roster!
