Thanks for the comments guy's, it's nice to be able to share.

Well if you didn't guess, we are on our way to Yosemite National Park and WOW, it's an impressive place to go. We were luck as for most of the time it stayed nice and fine but the as can so often happen, the rain moved in very quickly.

Anyway, here's some of the pictures I took, so sit back and enjoy.

Excellent shots Vic, the barn shot is great and you can find a stand of mailboxes like that anywhere in this great country of ours, they just indicate a trailer park most of the time. The stream shots are excellent to and I really like the shots at Yosemite. Keep'em coming sir!:thumbleft:

Thanks for the kind words folks.

Having been through that magnificent national park we head out for Fresno just for a nights stop. As has been pointed out to me, nobody but nobody goes to Fresno. Well we did, just for the night and I might add, a bl00dy good steak.

Were on our way to Las Vegas for a few days but on the way we pass this fine example of the all American barn (again for you Aaron).

Then blow me down if we don't get almost overrun by wind farms, the two we passed through have just got to be the biggest in the world. It was utterly amazing.

Heading out into the desert we stop for a quick, all be it in the distance, look at the civil airliner grave yard.

For those of you who know this part of the world, we have passed through the 'food bowl of America', the world garlic capital and the home of dried resins before finding this little old ghost town of Calico.

Now in case your all wondering, as with a number of pictures in this series, I've tried my hand at what I refer to a character study shot. I would be interested if anyone wishes to pass comment.

Good stuff. The airline parking area is for storage and/or salvage. That's Mojave. There are always new ones out there when I drive by it a few times a year.

The wind farms are everywhere when you start heading east. We flew over one on the way to Palm Springs one year that had been toppled over and bent. Whatever happened must have made a lot of noise!

Neat shots of Calico. I haven't been there yet. It would appear that the cigarette butt farm is ready for harvest! ;)
