Were still in the Caledonian Canal passing through Fort Augustus and as we move into 2023, we pop into Loch Ness as a lonly goat munches on the steep hillside.

After that rare sighting of the Loch Ness monster an early morning sunrise shot at Corpach Pier, Loch Eil and that wee bump in the background is Ben Nevis which is the highest point in Scotland and the British Isles.
A couple of boats loaded with logs. Not sure if they are loading or off loading, I think the former.
The next couple of shots will be dear to most Scotsmen's hearts. Culloden.

Thanks for looking in folks. Here are three more shots from the Culloden battlefield.
We followed the story of this final battle as we walked through the visitors centre out onto the turf where it was very quiet and peaceful. Its a very sobering place.

Thanks for looking in folks. This will be my last pics of Scotland and what better place to end than a look at the ruins of Castle Urquhart on the shores of Loch Ness.

Continuing on our trip we crossed from Scotland to Spain where we will travel from the Mediterranean coast to the Atlantic across the northern part of Spain. Our venture starts in the beautiful city of Barcelona.
As we drive past, a quick glimpse at the Place de Caralunya.
Arriving in the Gaudí (square) we meet our walking guide. It was the balloons that caught my attention and it looks like a row of portaloos (dunnies) below the statue.
Walking up the Passeig de Gràcia and the amazing architecture, in this instance, street lights.
