the blue stripes, painted or decals ? because if there decals you a magician to get them that painted on looking !!!!!

The stripes are decals...Now I will also point out that they are in fact the wrong shade of blue, found out after they were done that this lighter shade of blue occurred in early 1942 on replacement zeroes for Soryu aircraft, Pearl Harbor Hiryu aircraft were in a Dark Blue....will hopefully get around to changing them some day....IF the right decals come along...?

Appreciate your comments guys...

As the others have said nice Zero But How did you get that color you used on the plane?. Kinda looks like Vallejo"s version of rlm 02 is that the color people are saying the early ones were painted in?.

The colour is known as a grey-green, it is a Tamiya mix provided to me by a Greg Springer who matched it to original zero relics, the fabric surfaces are a different shade of grey on my Zero, which is a bit darker than it should be, the the colour was then revised to a slightly lighter mix, I have not yet built another zero with the revised colour.....soon though!

Tamiya have also released their own version of the grey-green colour, XF-76.
