can't believe how much time has passed since i last posted.....

So better get on with it.....

This new subject is a Tamiya 1/48 Me262A finished as an early production model A-1a version painted in the German Day fighter greys....before the new greens took effect.

This one was a First place Winner in Adelaide (Early Jets) category 2009 and Second in Melbourne (OOB) 2009.

And two gun ports faired over. What was the rationale Wayne? Early engines lacking adequate thrust? Nice work! Interesting too how those greys are back in vogue.

To be honest Matt I don't know...as it was photographed on different occasions where the guns were faired over and opened up!

Are these Erprobungskommando 262 aircraft? If so they may have been testing different weapons configurations for the bomber version. As far as I recall KG51 262's only had the two MK108 config.
