Been there. My wife finally agreed to fly to Roswell NM to my 40th reunion. In 2021. Did not make it to the 10th due to Desert Storm, 20th because of 9/11, 30th because of a kay off. The week before, we got Covid. Looking forward to the 50th.
Roswell is my birth place. Is ST Mary's Hospital still there?

An annoyance yes, but explains a lot. Good to be able to read ex-ray comments by Drs.
Back pain when I am standing or worse when I walk. Turns out I've developed "moderate
to severe disc disease of the Lumbar spine. Moderate-to-marked levoconvex scoliosis of
the lumbar spine,19 degrees. At least moderate kyphosis of the lumbar spine. Fixed grade
1-2 anterolisthesis of blah blah blah of up to 7mm".
Great, but at least now I know a there is no injection that will work and it's not life threatening!
I am limited as to pain meds as well. HBP, Type 2, and blood thinners etc etc. But now I know!
Now I can get on with it. Been a little out of sorts and tough to get back to my GB's.
So I spent another hundred on Mk.I Hurricane and cockpit for H. Davidson, CAM launch plane!!!!

Wife has been a pain patient for more than 27 years. Finally, about 10 years ago, they took her off of everything but methadone for pain. Life is much better for her and the small dosage she's on hasn't changed since they got it under control about 3 months after the switch. Might be worth talking with your Dr about it. It's much easier on the system than other opioids and she tolerates it much better than Vicodin, hydrocodone and similar medications.

The professor I have this course is a snit. Very non-understanding about weather and the ways she phrases things for the assignments ticks me off too. Was pretty mad, but I know how to play the game. I have to adjust my game hat attitude and buckle down for the next four weeks. I don't anticipate an A in this course.

I'm not on any prescribed meds for pain. Have to settle for over the counter stuff. The BP and blood thinners for clots don't allow heavy stuff. This seems to work okay.

Sorry to hear of your troubles Bill, lets hope you can continue to manage it easily and it will be good to see you back at the builds even if it is only a little at a time. :D
Don't like all them troubles your having Bill, you take it easy and take care mate....
The pain bothered me because I thought it was maintainable, chiropractic or otherwise.
But knowing the cause helps me understand why! I can just watch what I do to not make it worse.
The other stuff is just part of growing old. Just pacing myself doing woodwork or stuff around the house.
Bench time is okay, I have a comfy chair. So I have done some today while watching Gridiron!
The Brewster has been set aside as the P-40 is mostly benchwork. The P-40 will be my GB60 entry now.
Am okay, sorta, thanks!

With all the sick kids coming to school, I consider it fortunate to not have been sick ten times over. I hope you all feel better gentlemen.

Yeah, my son brought it home first. My wife who teaches at his school said on the same day my son stayed home, 11 of his classmates left early with the same symptoms. My wife's symptoms started on Saturday, and mine started late Saturday night/early Sunday morning.

Parents need to stop sending their kids to school sick. Its not a daycare for sick kids.

They didn't seem sick when I dropped them off. Just the usual red, watery eyes and productive cough that one expects at their age. Besides, if they miss basketball practice they get benched the next game.
