Drove across town to a meeting at work All day meeting. The calendar said it started at 12 am. Normally the meeting starts at 9 or 10 because people is coming from across SE Texas. So calendar said all day. So I dragged myself for the 6 minutes drive. At least I did not have to drive 90 minutes into Houston. I'm the second one the arrive. So I had to set up the tables and chairs. So sitting around for 30 minutes and no wifi whan I hear that they are not starting until 9:30. What fun.

Govt job. No OT allowed. Still get paid for 8 to 5. We will wrap up around 4 so everyone can drive back. I will have to go home and work an hour.

Some Low Life stole my wife's 2020 Charger Scat Pack from her work place this morning. She got out of it at 5:10am and it was gone at 5:30am when her coworker arrived. I really have no use for thieves! What sucks is she special ordered it just the way she wanted it, and they stopped making them late last year so it can't be replaced new. I am actually more than a little annoyed at the moment.
Until I got the phone call I was actually making some progress on her 1961 Jaguar Mark 2's brakes. Well that didn't last long!

A PNG anti theft trick. Add a latching relay and well hidden push switch in the fuel pump wiring so that you have to push the concealed switch to get power to the fuel pump. They can start it once but once the fuel downstream of the pump is used the engine stops and cannot be restarted.
An ancient 1960/70s USA anti theft trick. Fit a Clark forklift park brake valve in the rear brake line. Mount under seat or somewhere accessible but out of sight. They cant go far without a tow truck with locked rear brakes.
Modern use for outdated phone. Mount behind a headlight/tail light/whatever and power charger from that light. Get a low cost sim card and then if car stolen use find my phone.
I use 1 and 3.

An apple airtag would work as well, maybe a bit more expensive but it would probably have a longer life

I have an 18 month old brother that goes to daycare, a 4 year old brother that goes to preschool, and me and my 14 year old brother ar both in high school where people are shoulder to shoulder in the halls. I know how you feel. Someone at my house is always sick.
