Booked first class tickets to avoid hassles. I arrived 6 hours early to the airport (checkout and car rental return). The weather had different ideas. Instead of arriving at JFK airport at about 2030 hours I'm landing at LaGuardia about 3 hours later. Which means I need a taxi. Or spend the night at the airport in Detroit.
If the plane was delayed due to mechanical issues, I would have been fine. The airline would have put me up on their dime. But no.

Quora.
But then it annoys me EVERY SINGLE DAY.
The depth of absurdity remains unplumbed, and not always from generated "bots."
There are some really-really stupid and/or lazy people out there.
"Who was in the Battle of Britain?"
"How did people know when the Titanic sank in the Titanic Ocean?"
"What happened on 9-11?"
But there are just enough worthwhile posts (no more than 11 percent) to make surfing worth the effort.
Unfortunately, we see naive and/or lazy questions on other forums--aviation is not exempt.

New York taxi ... Detroit ... New York taxi ... Detroit ...

Man, I'll probably spend the night flipping a goddamned coin.

Freakin a/c system is broke again. Guys were here Friday and had to come back on Tuesday to be able to actually do what needed to be done, or so we all thought. System was sorta ok Tuesday night, but completely down last night.

My truck developing cooling issues. Whatever it is I'm sure I can fix it myself, but yeah, not welcome right now.
I hear you. Brought my truck to the dealer bright and early this past Tuesday for a coolant leak. Texts me a towards the middle of the day stating corporate needs my service records so they can verify and cover under their "Lifetime Drivetrain Warranty". Brought all that in yesterday morning, once again bright and early... Service guy last words "I'll get these faxed over and it usually doesn't take long once they get it. Texted him at noon yesterday and he said "have not hear anything yet, I'll get back to you as soon as I do. Limbo, haven't heard a thing since noon yesterday.
I'm starting to thing "Lifetime Powertrain Warranty" means it take a lifetime for them to approve anything!!!!

My wife is going to retire from teaching at the end of next school year. She works with visual impaired and blind kids. The courts say the school has to provide services from birth to age 24. She loves the work and been a specialist for 11 years. Before that over 10 years special education all grade levels. Most school employees in Texas don't pay into social security. Before teaching she worked 21 years at Walmart and Sam's club. Since the federal government has determined one can live on a government retirement, they are reducing my wife social security payment by 2/3 of her teacher's retirement amount. Today we found out that her social security Will be a little over 300 a month. The will pay for half of the Medicare A and B replacement plan. We will almost break even.

Truly did Pa Thump say, "If it's got tits or tires, it'll give you trouble sooner or later."
