Not entirely. But he's a high school student on summer break. So he's not exceptionally motivated.
At least I've broken him of the habit of fiddling with his phone all day.
Well it's not a wonder he can't do much when you've tied his hands behind his back.....

Why is nothing simple? I have money. I pay my bills. I have no criminal record. Why is it so hard to purchase big ticket items? Buying this house in FLA is gonna give me a heart-attack. Two months into starting the procedure to purchase this thing and stupid shite keeps popping up. Closing was supposed to be June 20th but that went by because the Seller/broker failed to get the papers to the lender on time of which the broker blames the lender. False. Yesterday I get a phone call from the Park. A lease needs to be signed. IN PERSON. I tell her no one told me that. We specifically asked about that as, you know, we're a thousand fecking miles away!! We work it out that as soon as closing date, she will email lease to be signed. Date? I have no clue. Everything keeps getting pushed back because of things popping up. Like the very next phone call I received from the lender telling me that the homeowners insurance, which the lender requires, needs a 4 point inspection before going forward. Oh, and it has to be done before next friday because..... the homeowner said if things weren't done by then, he is calling the whole thing off. Why wasn't I told of these things???? So I need an inspection done. Before Monday. It's 3pm on Friday. FECK!! Call the insurance company (who advises me that it was my responsibility to get it done. I explain that I currently live in New Jersey and have no fecking clue about businesses in Florida except for orange trees.) They suggest a company. I call. Make appointment. Then I call the broker whose office forwards me to the realtor. He tells me, "naw, we have a guy on staff can do it. No problem. Just call the office and speak to Sherri." Sherri and I do not get along and she is the nemesis of the lender who has asked me to not make so many calls to her. I call and get her voice mail. Leave message and wait. And wait. 3:30pm 4pm 4:30pm. I cancel the inspection with the outside agency. I text the realtor as I have not heard from Sherri. Finally she calls back and advises that their "inspection dude" is going away on a 2 week vacation today. Feck feck. I call the other inspection company back and reschedule but now it is happening on Tuesday. Now we are all hoping everything aligns and we can proceed with closing on Friday. Otherwise I'm fecked with no place to stay. The DeWars White Label got a work out the last 24 hours. Feck!

I once saw a delivery van driver reading a paperback novel in stop and go rush hour traffic. On the back of the truck was a vehicle number, phone number, and a sticker that asked "How's my Driving?"
Suffice to say I called the phone number, reported the vehicle number, and asked the lady on the phone if it was normal operations for their drivers to read books while they drive? I hear a "WHAT?"...
Seen several people reading the newspaper going down the road, one or two makeup artists as well, and one time a mini-van with a rear seat television and they were watching porn in the back seat.

I once was a delivery driver a few years ago with one of those "If You See This Driver...." stickers on the back. Somebody complained that "As she was driving in the left lane doing the speed limit of 40mph (it was a highway with posted speed of 55mph) I had passed her on the right and gave her a 'rude' gesture." I was motioning her to get over using my thumb. I told my boss she was in the 'passing lane' doing 15mph below the speed limit. I told him because she didn't read the posted speed, that I question her ability to see me do a 'rude' gesture. The next day I went to Lowe's and matched up the size of the vehicle number from stick-on mailbox numbers and changed the number on the back of my vehicle. No more problems!

Nope, I got caught in one of the not so nice areas of Minneapolis after dark due to road detours when I pulled up next to said movie watchers. I got the h-e-double hockey sticks away from there as fast as possible.

I hear you. One day in broad daylight I was taking my kids to a basketball game in one of those not so nice areas. I got caught behind a car that was negotiating with a young lady on the street corner, selling her wares. I didn't honk, didn't make eye contact, just blasted around and prayed no one was coming down the cross street.

taking laundry out of dryer this morning and dropped a sock. Bent over to pick up sock, all is well, went to straighten up from picking up sock and felt a pinch in lower back and legs that nearly dropped me to the floor. Back is sore now, again!!!

Boss decided that he was going everything out on me last night. Resulted in some very angry words flying back at him. He stayed far away from me the rest of the night. Anger and high heat on top of the airplane made for a very rough night after that. Couldn't eat lunch and got pretty dehydrated. Took over a half gallon of liquids before shedding anything and that's with being on a high power diuretic too. Almost 11 am and I'm starting to feel somewhat normal again.
