Freaking air system when off yesterday afternoon and the wife was too zonked to tell me. Could have told the youngest how to reset it, but they wait til I've been home two hours and they come into the office in almost a panic wanting to know what the AC guys said and when they would be here. My reaction was WTF? What are you talking about....? 5 minute explanation that the air is off, they couldn't get it to restart and did I call the AC guys....Crap...power hit locked up the control board at noon yesterday, and no one bothered to tell me the system was off....Grrrrr......

I feel your pain, my wife has learned where the CB is for the A/C system. For some reason when we get a power surge during a thunderstorm and the A/C is operating it will trip the CB in the panel in the basement. It has been that way for 30 years, and 2 A/C systems. I did have to make a path thru my 1 to 1 scale model car parts so she had an easier time getting to the panel though!
