How about some non-english WW2 movies?

Dear Elsa (Hungarian)

Al-alamein (Italian)

A Finnish war movie that I forgot the name, but it has "soldier" in English name...

All 3 are available on YouTube by English subtitles. I believe I have posted links in previous pages.

I can recommend "Narvik" which is now on Netflix, very well done movie.

My favorite non-english WW2 movie is Die Brücke

"A line inserted just before the end credits soberly reads: 'This event occurred on April 27, 1945. It was so unimportant that it was never mentioned in any war communique.'"

A beautiful and interesting one! I've both old and new versions, older version is my fav.

Yes, many things happened in "any" war, that were considered "unimportant" by authorities... As we say in Persian: "Truth is bitter, like the bottom of a cucumber."

I've seen El-Aleman but not the other 2. I've also seen The Black Book, several Russian movies on the Great Patriotic wear (mostly armor and last stand types), Max Manus, and several others. I really enjoy them as most are well written.

I've seen so many Russian war movies, I can't remember names... Some were great, some weren't! However, I recently turned into watching Russian war series and mini-series.

Right now, watching "The Black Sea"
