I think, the chrome looks very lifelike in scale. It looks like every Cragar I saw in the glory days of the muscle cars.

I do the whole thing, Yves. My gloss, Pledge, changes the paint colour quite dramatically. I did the wings before the wife dragged me out for a death march yesterday
This was the reason to ask you: I use Pledge (or Future) as well and if the base coat is really so matt/dry as yours, the gloss makes it darker. Even after using dull coat at the end the colour doesn't change. I started using gloss/semi gloss paints, still add Future for decals but only partially. At the end with weathering and whatnot the colour is...what it is.

I never use it for anything but drying, decals, and adding the lil bits. I'm thinking of adding Tamiya Clear Gloss into the mix when spritzing to avoid Future/Pledge altogether. I think I've found a source for Mr, Hobby/Gunze that has some decent shipping costs. So far, the paints I've used have a glossy finish and they are cheaper than Tamiya
