While you guys are dealing with the cold up in the Northern Hemisphere, the weather down here has been hot and sunny (for the most part). So a trip to the beach was in order for a swim and fish and chips for lunch :)
First pics are from point Danger and Kirra. Along the boardwalk in the second pic is the walk of remembrance, which has a plaque for every ship sunk of the Australian coast in WWII. Each plaque contains the ship name, when and how it was sunk and number by personnel killed.
The last pic is looking North towards Gold Coast city.

Next it was down to the mouth of the Currumbin Creek so the kids could swim in some calm waters. The kids loved the hordes of soldier crabs.
