It's only back burning mate, nothing serious. It's all controlled by the fire fighters to prevent "real" bush fires from spreading.

Nice shots! Certainly makes for quite the view but at least it is much safer this way that letting it burn naturally.

OOps sorry I missed that part, I know we have had some back fires that really got out of control.

boy, those shots bring back some memories. Lived at the natural arch aged 14-18 and again 28-32. its a great part of the world. My sister still lives up that way and my brother owns some land on Russel island. I also like Coochie Mudlow spent few days thre as well.
