Great pics! Number 5 in post 124 looks just like a local beauty spot just a couple of miles up the road from me.

The surrounding rainforest.

The shots of natural bridge bring lots of memories for me. I lived near there (less than a KM) when i was a kid. We used to jump through the arch, more than 60 feet into the swimming hole at the bottom. Crazy stuff i know, but back then I thought i was bullet proof.

Got a question Andy. Were you based at Canungra when you were serving? Its not far from all therse places that youve photographed. As I recall, Canungra was the jungle warfare school for the Army, and they also used it for survival training. Rugged country up that way.....

Thanks for the nice comments guys!

You grew up in a nice area mate, I was tempted to go for a dip in the water hole myself. I live in nearby Beaudesert which is about 15-20 mins from Canungra, the shire is called the scenic rim for good reason as you would know. When I was in the Army I was based down at Woodside in the Adelaide hills (a fantastic area too), as for Canungra It's still the jungle warfare training ground, my Brother who was in the reserves got a taste of it a year to two back. I never went there myself, we tended to be sent to all the nice barren, desert like areas such as Cultana, Woomera and Darwin..
