Hello guys. I have missed the site. The owners of the company I work for has pulled the pluck on the net so I have not been around. I hope to have a new job and computer by Jan 09.

The WOH airshow had perfect weather for a change. I went on my yearly trip with my father and there was not a cloud in the sky. With the price of fuel going down, the CAF went crazy with the explosives this year. There was not as many active duty plane as in the past but there was a very number of Torra birds. Glaicer Girl flew at the show this year and there was a new A-26 at the show. I hope to have pictures next week.

I'm back. The lab F up my processing. They lost one roll and managed to forget to use fresh chemicals. The pictures are sad. I will try to adjust the colors on the software. In the mean time, an alumni from my college sent this to me. It is long but has some good footage from Red Flag.

Hulu - Fighter Pilot: Operation Red Flag - Watch the full feature film now.

I have some good pics from Wings over Houston. Will post later since I am at work now. Have a good pic of the B-17 going over in a low altitude pass.

Dang!!! Glacier Girl was there???? Seeing a -38 in the sky is number one on my list of things to do before I die (#2...see a platypus)!!! Man, I'm jealous!

I hate it when a lab mucks up a perfectly good roll of film! Digitals are getting a lot cheaper these days, better optics, etc. Check the ads the day after Thanksgiving. *hint hint*

Yes, Glacier Gal was there and she flew. I think I have shots of 6 P-38s now. I have seen several flying. I would like to see a group flying together. Here are some photos from the past year include some from the Air Force Museum, Wings Over Houston, and Lone Star Flight Museum.

If you are good. I will try and scan the differnt P-38 photos from over the years. A couple are from the 1970s and taken with an instamatic, #@^ I am old. The Torra birds were out in full force. I cannot remember the last time I saw so many. It was good seeing them in the air. I did not like the P-51, Gun Fighter, chasing them during the Pearl Harbor attack.

Great shots there DB, I like the winter look of the P-39 with fake snow on it. It makes for a nice different approach.

Thanks again.

Excellent stuff!!!!! :occasion5:

My wife keeps buggin me to take a trip down to the coast....I may have to finagle that for the next WOH weekend....merely a fortunate coincidence, of course!
