Wow if today were the end of the Qualification Round, we would be having a very wiered Euro 2008 competition.

The Qualifying teams would be:

1. Austria
2. Switzerland
3. Poland
4. Finland
5. France
6. Scotland
7. Greece
8. Norway
9. Germamy
10. Czech Republic
11. Croatia
12. Russia
13. Sweden
14. Northern Ireland
15. Romania
16. Netherlands

Well at least we got a decent result, and even played quite well in beating Israel 3-0. Doesn't solve anything long term though, the players still don't seem to car and we have the wrong person in charge

Ah...It looks like the end for England and Scotland.

England have to depend on results and Scotland have to beat Italy.

Easy job then.

Germany played like **** against the Czech Republic and lost 3-0 in Munich. Does not matter though Germany is allready qualified and the first to qualify (minus Austria and Switzerland).

Adler,

I think it was only one 'black out' day for your team. I haven´t seen the German team to play so bad and Czech team so good in last 2 years...
Spoke to W.R.´s son yesterday and he was pretty disappointed...
And the first goal came to soon...
I´m pretty curious about the game Czech Republic-Slovakia as we will be in the same situation like Germany yesterday- already qualified:oops:

Yeah Germany was missing some key people including Defenders and Middle Fielders. Missing our goalie was terrible as well as I am sure that 2 of the goals he would have held without a problem.

Oh well congratulations to your team Roman and we will see you in Austria/Switzerland 2008!

thanks for congrats and the same for you!
Yes, think Lehman would be able to catch 2nd and 3rd goal. Maybe...
We were missing key players as well- Rosicky,Jankulovski, Baros, Polak...
But anyway, it was nice for me to hear Czech hymn in 85. minute in Alianz arena. Don´t get me wrong, but I was in Prague in March when we lost 1:2, so this was a satisfaction for my money spent back then...

The final qualifications for the Euro 2008 Championships has been decided. One big surprise however. England was defeated 3-2 by Croatia and did not qualify. This will be the first time since 1976 I believe that England has not qualified for the European Cup.

As much as I enjoy the fact that England did not make it (I am a Germany fan ) it does pain me because I wonder what kind of Euro Cup will it be without England in it and yet teams like Turkey are in it (I dont believe Turkey should be allowed to be in the Euro Cup because they are not European!).

Anyhow here are the qualified teams. On the 2nd December a drawing will be held to place these 16 teams into 4 groups of 4 for the group phase of the tournament which is next June.

1. Switzerland (Automatically Qualified as Host)
2. Austria (Automatically Qualified as Host)
3. Germany
4. Czech Republic
5. Poland
6. Portugal
7. Italy
8. France
9. Greece
10. Turkey
11. Croatia
12. Russia
13. Spain
14. Sweden
15. Romania
16. Netherlands

talk about taking your chances.

The Isreali win gave England a very lucky second bite.

And they blew it large.

Sometimes you get your just reward and England were not good enough to get through an easy group.

A bit like a F-86 shooting down a F-22. Can happen...shouldn't happen...but sheer arse and one downed Raptor.

Wanted...England manager...must be able to win games...

As I said above though England will be missed in the Euro 2008. I just think that a Euro Cup tournament should allways have the big 5 in it (Germany, England, France, Italy, and Spain) and with England out something will be missing.
