Now i did get on to the spitty today...did some lower wing shading with grey and buff but the pic doesn't show just how it really looks with the subtle effect....
While the upper surface i have added a streaking of buff to simulate some weathering and dust, this will be refined next weekend with further blending of some more Green to get the right appearance...

Thanks guys, much appreciated....actually toned down that Buff today to the subtle effect I wanted, will now depend on how the gloss coat adjusts the effect as to just what I may still need to do maintain the dusty to slightly faded appearance.....time will tell....

I have such a hard time getting my head around making a plane look dirty and faded.
I'm doing an old F4U kit I found just for laffs. I'm making it into a Yorktown, end of the war sample with the double RR on the tail. It's going to be my guinea pig for aging, fading. No interior. I've just got to get going on aging an airplane.

You set a fine example Wayne.....
