Well you are about to add an unusual piece to the collection Sir ;) Well done thus far :thumbright:

That's looking just right. I also agree about the top of the cowl, for whatever that's worth...

Thanks again guys.

Today, I added and painted the armament, wheels, radio mast, and D/F loop, the latter having been thinned down from the kit part before painting. The guns have had the ends drilled out as well. Some weathering was started as you can see. I brushed on some black pastel for the exhaust stains and a little around the cowl MGs. Scratches were added at the wing roots to simulate those in the pic in post 1.

So, almost done. Left to do: a little more weathering, add the aerial, finish and add the hinged canopy, scratch build a flare gun and add it to the opening on the right front cockpit, and add the pitot last. Thanks again for looking in guys. Should have finished pics this weekend.

Thanks again all. Some finishing touches:

Scratch built a flare gun, seen in white, and painted it

And finally, I discovered some stencils for the wheel hubs, applied these and then dusted up the tires, wheels, and gear covers.

Tomorrow, I'll need to add the canopy restraint wire, mess up the drop tank a bit and do another once over to fix any final issues before posting the finished shots.

Bl**dy nice work Andy, I reckon you'll be getting more gongs with that one!
As for the canopy restraint wire, I find that's the most difficult thing to add to a '109 model, regardless of scale !
