Got this one finished right in time with my holiday break quickly wrapping up. This kit gave a true definition of murphy's law and academys instructions for painting were different from the side images on the box so I made do with what I saw. Overall it wasn't too bad and the bird grew on my by the end. I used alclad aluminum sealed with future (which surprisingly doesn't affect the sheen and makes applying the decals very easy) and flat coated the top yellow part of the wings. A mechanical pencil was used to "color" in the recessed panel lines and I did some light soot and rust with tamiya weathering kit.
