I guess it could be allowed - it's still 'OOB' and, in this case 'OFT' .... Off The Table !!!
Your best bet for close-up shots, is to rest the camera on a sturdy surface (if no tripod is handy) and then take your shot. One thing to keep in mind, is that shooting indoors will mean slower shutter speeds, so ANY movement will blur the shot no matter how sharp the focus. Even pressing the shutter release too hard can cause blur.Sorry about that Wurger. Still trying to find out how to get my camera to work good for closeup shots.
