Thanks. Well, I just sprayed Mr.Muscle on the kit all over (it takes the shape of white foam when sprayed), sealed it in a plastic bag and left to react 3-4 hours. Afterwards I just brushed it off with paper tissue and washed it with clean water. That's it. As said earlier, the oven cleaner also reacted with old glue making it easier to take the model apart. Probably I was little lucky too not breaking off anything. Still wondering how the decals survived though. But even if they survived the oven cleaner treatment I doubt they'll survive the sanding paper too. :)
 
What a novel approach Igor, a sort of degustation of modelling and it's in remarkably good condition after so long. I'm amazed you got it apart without to much difficulty.
