1/72nd Scale Ground Equipment

Not too long ago I picked up a couple of 1/72 Academy ground equipment sets that I thought would look good sitting next to my 1/72 bombers.
I started putting together the ambulance, getting all the sub-assemblies together.

Finished glueing up the body and cleaned up the seams. The joint on the roof needed a lot of work with quite a bit of CA filler to make the cab match up with the rear. It still needs to be final sanded before the paint.

I started in on the tug and trailer. Here's the sprue and then the sub-assemblies glued up

Like these Glenn and they bring back memories as these were still in use in my time with the RAF in the 60s.

I had the airbrush out so I sprayed on some Testors square bottle olive on the ambulance and tractor

Very nice and you still have some old Testors in those tiny bottles!

They're still available around here in craft stores but for how long I don't know so I stocked up on them a while back
