Airfix unexpectedly announced new 1:72 scale Avro Vulcan B2.
Unfortunately someone at the airfix team misinterpreted the photo that shows ALQ-101 jamming pod on a troley, behind it, there is a landing gear door and someone thought it's a pylon..

Fortunately the pic is the computer rendition only but not the real model. The problem doesn't appear in the kit assembling and the kit instruction doesn't call for that way of mounting. Unless someone wants follow the way. Each is his own master.

You are right Karl. I found the shot some time ago and thought the same. But later got the pict is the computer rendition only. And of course I have checked on the kit assembling manual right away. All was fine so it had to be the mistake with creating of the image.
I'm sure the Rusiians could have built a plane around that

I don't usually buy jet models but I love the "Thunderbirds" look of the Vulcan. Especially Black Buck.
